What's On the Menu?

I just made EveryPlate's Spicy Southwest Chicken Sandwich, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer! The crispy, breaded chicken combined with the tang of quick-pickled jalapeños and that rich Southwest-spiced mayo is mouth-wateringly good. It's the perfect mix of spicy, salty, and sour – absolutely delicious!

What I Received:

  1. 🍋 Lime
  2. 🌶️ Jalapeño
  3. 🥔 Yukon Gold Potatoes
  4. 🍞 Panko Breadcrumbs
  5. 🌶️ Southwest Spice
  6. 🍗 Chicken Breasts
  7. 🍞 Potato Bun
  8. 🥄 Mayonnaise

What I Needed:

  1. ⬜ Kosher Salt
  2. ⬛ Black Pepper
  3. 🌿 Cooking Oil
  4. 🌾 Flour
  5. 🥚 Eggs
  6. 🧈 Butter
  7. 🍅 Ketchup

Instructions:

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Quick-pickle the jalapeños in lime juice and roast potato wedges.
  2. 2. Prepare flour, beaten egg, and seasoned panko in separate dishes for breading.
  3. 3. Coat the chicken in flour, dip in egg, then press into panko.
  4. 4. Fry the chicken until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. 5. Toast the buns with melted butter in the oven.
  6. 6. Mix mayonnaise with Southwest Spice and ketchup for the sauce.
  7. 7. Assemble the sandwiches with chicken, pickled jalapeño, and Southwest sauce. Serve with potato wedges and lime wedges.
